How to Send Crash Reports on Windows

To send a copy of a recent crash report of the DuckDuckGo browser on Windows, please follow these steps:

  1. Right-click on the Start button and select Event Viewer
  2. In the left pane, expand Windows Logs and select Application
  3. In the center pane, look for the recent logs with the Source "DuckDuckGo" or "Application Error" that reference DuckDuckGo
    • Tips to narrow things down, you can try the following:
      • Filter the logs by right-clicking Application > Filter Current Log..., selecting "Error" for the Level, and limiting to the last 12 hours
      • In the File menu, click Edit > Find... (or Ctrl + F) to search for "DuckDuckGo" across all entries
  4. Once you've found the relevant entries, use Save All Events As… to export a .evtx file, or right-click an entry and copy the XML Details, then send the file as an attachment or copy the details of the entry in an to Support
