How do I activate my subscription in Duck.ai in 3rd-party browsers?

If you purchased your subscription on one device (Purchase Device) and are trying to activate your subscription in a 3rd-party browser (Second Browser) you need to follow the steps below:

First, you need to add an email address to the subscription, on the Purchase Device

  1. In the DuckDuckGo browser, under Subscription Settings, click on ‘Add to Another Device'
  2. Click ‘Add email'
  3. Enter an email address (this can be any email address that you have access to)
  4. Within a minute or so you’ll receive a One-Time-Passphrase to that email address
  5. Copy and Paste the passphrase into the page on the Purchase Device
    • You only have 5 minutes to enter this code or it will expire
    • If you are typing it, make sure that auto-correct doesn’t change the words
  6. Success - you’ve just added an email address to your subscription
    • There are two ways to confirm this:
      • You should receive an email with the subject 'Your email has been added to your subscription'
      • If you follow the steps above, at step #2 you should see your email address displayed

Second, you need to activate your subscription using the email address, in the Second Browser

  1. In the Second Browser, navigate to Duck.ai
  2. Click on the settings icon
  3. Click "I have a Subscription"
  4. Enter the email address you added on the Purchase Device
  5. Within a minute or so you’ll receive a One-Time-Passphrase to that email address
  6. Copy and Paste the passphrase into the Second Browser
    • You only have 5 minutes to enter this code or it will expire
    • If you are typing it, make sure that auto-correct doesn’t change the words
  7. Success - You have activated your subscription on the Second Browser, you can now activate your subscription on all your devices using the same email address
