Passwords & Autofill in the DuckDuckGo Browser

You can choose to save your passwords, credit cards, and identities (such as names and addresses) locally within the DuckDuckGo browser. To view and edit this information, go under the three-line menu in the browser > Passwords & Autofill.

Passwords

The DuckDuckGo browser includes a built-in password manager that securely stores, autofills, and generates strong passwords, all without the need for an account.

Your passwords are encrypted on your device and can only be accessed after authenticating with your device's built-in biometric security (such as Face ID or Touch ID) or passcode. For more details on how your passwords are kept safe, see Password Manager Security.

Autofill

The DuckDuckGo browser includes a built-in autofill feature that securely saves and fills your passwords, credit cards, and identities (such as names and addresses) to make signing in and completing online forms faster and easier. All autofill data is stored securely on your device and protected by your device's lock screen security, such as biometrics, a PIN, or a passcode.
